EU.ACE at the eucen Annual Conference 2025 in Lille

Strengthening lifelong learning ecosystems through collaboration and policy engagement

The 2025 eucen Annual Conference, hosted in the beautiful city of Lille, brought together dedicated professionals and stakeholders in the field of University Lifelong Learning (ULLL). One of the key themes this year was the development of ecosystems in ULLL—an increasingly important topic as lifelong learning remains a recurring priority in nearly all Bologna Communiqués, yet is still not fully embedded in the Bologna Process.

EU.ACE remains a strong advocate for addressing this gap. As a committed partner in the current Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) cycle, EU.ACE continues to support the structural integration of lifelong learning into European higher education policy and practice.

Several EU.ACE consortium partners were present at the conference and contributed actively to the programme. Through presentations, workshops, and discussions, they shared insights from ongoing project work and engaged in meaningful dialogue with peers across Europe. Their contributions highlighted the consortium’s practical commitment to shaping the future of ULLL and promoting inclusive, flexible, and learner-centred approaches.

The event offered an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration, exchange innovative ideas, and reinforce the shared vision of a European Education Area where lifelong learning is a lived reality.
